Serving the altar is a way to start a lifetime of service to God, his people and his church.Many families with children have challenging schedules. Altar server’s clothing is very special. It recalls the baptism garment that each one puts on when one is welcomed in Jesus Christ in
the community. St. Paul clarifies: “For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourself with Christ” (Galatians 3:27). Altar
servers’ commitment is not only duty, but a great honor, a genuine holy service.

God asked us to serve one another. By becoming an altar server, young people can begin to fulfill God’s important request. Altar servers serve the congregation, the priest and one another in celebrating the Mass and Prayer Sevices.
